Ode To Piggy

Oh my sweet piggy, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

How would we mommies survive without the piggies of the world? Doesn't matter if it's piggy, teddy, a blankie... the child must have something to survive. We must put a shout out to piggy because without him, we would never go to sleep, we would never take naps, we would never make it through church, and I might be on my last nerve!

Bella learned how to smile for the camera. Give her time. She'll get better at it!

Me and Bella hangin' out. Not bad taking the picture myself, eh? Hehe.

Our new containment stragety for the Bells. Actually, she totally loves hanging out in the bathroom sink. I can get my make up and hair done while she plays in the sink. Piggies and sinks. Whatever works, right?

Hey, I guess it's been a while. I've gotten really busy with school. Bella doesn't like me to be on the computer because then the attention isn't on her, so I only have naptimes and bedtime to play on the computer, which is usually filled with schoolwork. But, Ryan is gone to a meeting right now so I have some free time, and Princess Bella will have to deal with the neglect!! I'm going to back up a little bit, because we went to Disneyland in August and got some really fun pictures.

We also went to Newport Beach which was really nice in August. The weather was perfect. The only tragedy is that somebody let me wear horizontal stripes! AAAHHHH! We spent one night at an Angels game, too. That was a lot of fun. I enjoy a good baseball game from time to time and I had never been to a major league baseball game. There's a picture there of Bella with the game in the background. I don't think she enjoyed it quite so much, but she was a really good sport.

We also had lunch at Ariel's Grottel (or however it's spelled). You know, the little restaurant in California Adventure where you pay through the nose to eat lunch and see some of the princesses? Yeah, that one. Well, we knew Bella wouldn't really appreciate it. But Kaelee, her cousin, was bursting with excitement about the whole thing and we thought it would be fun to get pictures of Bella with the princesses so we could show them to her later when she did appreciate it. How it went is displayed above. That may be the most traumatic event of Bella's life thus far. Princess after princess made her completely lose it and we spent most of the lunch trying to calm her down. Oh well. Fun times were had by all.

We also recently had Halloween. This was really fun because Bella was kind of old enough to dress up. No, she did not go trick-or-treating. I'm not that cool of a mom!! But she was a cute little giraffe and we had a fun night with dad's homemade chili and cornbread. Mmmm, Mmmm, Good. Well, that's all the time I have for now. I will post again. That is my promise to all those who just can't get enough of us :) And I'm working on development of the site. I'm a slow learner.

Happy Birthday Bella!

Today is my first post. Yea for our new blog! Thanks Sarah, for the instruction. It also happens to be Bella's first birthday. We had her party yesterday though, and she had no idea what was going on either day!! Almost all of our family came to celebrate, excepting a couple who are out of town. The cake was yummy, but Bella refused to eat it. She had fun playing in it anyway. I'm not much of one for throwing birthday parties for one-year-olds, but I felt like I had to do something for our first one. If nothing else, it was a great photo op for Bella!
